Fr. Fernando Carmona

Dear family of Saint John Bosco; It is not strange for Catholics to know that priests in a parish do not stay for a lifetime. Depending on the needs of a diocese, from time to time priests are assigned to different parishes or different particular ministries. Father Guillermo Blandon was assigned by the Archbishop.

Thomas Wenski as parochial vicar in October 2023, 8 months ago, although a year ago, in November 2022, our parish welcomed him after he was denied entry to his country of origin Nicaragua. Now Archbishop Wenski assigns him to another mission at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Homestead, Florida. Effective June 17 of this year 2024, Archbishop Wenski has appointed Father               Fernando Carmona, priest of the Diocese of Río Cuarto, Argentina, as Vicar                Parish of San Juan Bosco. Father Fernando was born in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina on April 22, 1973. He studied theology at the Jesús el Buen Pastor Seminary.

He was ordained priest in 1998 for the diocese of Villa de la Concepción de Río Cuarto, Province of Córdoba, Argentina. In 2013 he arrived in the United States of America, in New Jersey, exercising the priestly ministry in several parishes as a vicar. In 2018 he arrived in South Florida and collaborated as parochial vicar at Nativity Parish in Hollywood, Fl. Then at Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Patrick and at Our Lady of Lourdes in Kendall. It is a blessing for Father Fernando and for us to have him in our parish. Let us pray for both priests and prepare our hearts to receive Father Fernando Carmona. Saint John Bosco. pray for them. Mary Help of Christians, pray for them.
